Sarah Campbell

Co-Owner & Vice President, Usability & Human Factors

Sarah has over 20 years of experience as a Usability / Human Factors Engineer in both government and private industry. She is a passionate advocate for the end user, creatively and objectively bringing their voice to the products on which she works.

At DesignThink, Sarah leads all User Experience activities ranging from early user requirements gathering to Human Factors design efforts to iterative user testing and final design validation activities. Sarah’s experience prior to DesignThink includes being Lead Usability Specialist at Graco Children’s Products, a Usability Engineer at Xerox Corporation, an Industrial Ergonomist at Boeing Commercial Airplane, and a Human Factors Engineer supporting the in-flight testing of the (then new and super cool) F-18 E/F fighter for the Navy. Sarah has a Masters degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Human Factors/Safety Option from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Business from Ithaca College.

When she’s not keeping the DT guys in line you can find her at a yoga class, taking care of her house and yard, cheering from the sidelines at one of her kid’s sporting events, and occasionally kicking back on a beach in Mexico.
