Patrick Nolan

Co-Owner, President, New Business Development

Patrick has over 30 years of global design experience in Industrial Design. He is passionate about all things design, meeting and working with new people, and finds it both a little weird and fun writing about himself in the 3rd person.

Patrick has worked as a design leader at Black & Decker, Stanley Tools, and Newell Rubbermaid prior to founding DesignThink. He brings his years of experience working on innovative and breakthrough products to help clients identify and translate user needs into relevant and meaningful design solutions. He is focused on creating new user experiences through an integrated design process to ensure that the user’s needs, aesthetic strategies and performance criteria are complemented in each project. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Bridgeport. Patrick is named on over 60 utility and design patents. He is most comfortable in the fuzzy front end of a project and can see connections where little information exists.

Outside of work, Patrick is a huge Corvette nut and is currently working on the restoration of a 1968 convertible that apparently has no real end date in sight, but is fun to work on. From time to time to fuel his artistic side he paints with oils (no, not by number).
