Michael Goldberg

Senior Mechanical Engineer

After graduating Rowan University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Michael began his career as a New Product Development Engineer in the medical device industry before moving on to become a Manufacturing & Automation Engineer at Kohler Co.  During Michael’s time at Kohler, he acted as the Senior Project Engineer overseeing the production of custom bathroom designs for the newly developed 220 Central Park South luxury apartment tower in New York City.  With a final sale price of $238M, the penthouse unit of 220 Central Park South currently holds the record for the most expensive home ever sold in the United States.

Michael brings 12+ years of experience in both the front-end concept development as well as end state manufacturing and production to the DesignThink team.  Having experience throughout every stage of the product development life cycle has allowed him to take a holistic approach to product design with the goal of creating a unique and fun experience for the end user.

Back at home in Philadelphia, Michael lives with his girlfriend Jamie and their newly rescued puppy, Ruby (aka Ruby Chewsday).  Ruby’s hobbies include losing her tennis ball under the couch and sunbathing on the roof deck.  When Michael’s not in the kitchen perfecting his ciabatta bread recipe, he plays on 2 different recreational soccer teams, a softball team, and has a doubles Pickleball championship title to defend with Jamie.  On the weekends, he can usually be found in his gaming laboratory, dropping into some Warzone lobbies with his squad.
