Chris LaVigna

Senior Industrial Designer

Chris is an alumnus of Philadelphia University and NABA Milano where he studied Industrial Design. He began his career working for consultancies and later pursued independent clients while based in New York. He has experience in designing power tools, hydration products, medical equipment, consumer electronics, high speed transit, and much more. Notably he has worked for companies such as Stanley Black & Decker and collaborated on projects for Hyperloop TT. 

Chris brings a wide range of technical skills to his work as designer, and he is always looking to expand and refine his skillset. His favorite medium is digital sketching, and he is currently exploring virtual reality as a design tool. Chris likes to approach his design process with a broad, unbiased perspective, asking many questions during the process and finding innovative solutions along the way. As an Industrial Designer he has a strong understanding of form development while applying ergonomics and human factors to physical products. Overall, his mission as a designer is to create insightful products that stand the test of time and bring joy to the end user. 

With a profound interest in architecture, energy and transportation, Chris is always envisioning what the world will look like in the future. In a fast-changing world, he likes to stay at the forefront of new and impactful technology.

Outside of the studio, you can find Chris hiking, snowboarding, and geeking out over the latest innovations in outdoor gear. He also enjoys gardening, cooking, and playing a round of chess with friends!
